Before You Work for NTI › FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is the NTI BICSI course?
NTI's Director of Training and Quality Control told my entire training class that the company plans to build a BICSI training facility and run an in-house cabling course for new hires, taught by NTI management, aimed at getting them BICSI-certified and meant to be easier than anywhere else. I have not seen it. See the BICSI page.
Does NTI offer BICSI certification?
BICSI sets and administers its own credentials. Whether and how NTI's course connects to them is something to ask NTI and to check at bicsi.org. This site is not affiliated with BICSI.
Who runs this site?
Henry "Hank" Elsner III, a former technician of National Technologies, Inc. (NTI), writing about his own experience. Call him any time at (623) 205-6336. It is not affiliated with NTI.
Is everything on the site true?
My own account is my recollection and opinion, labeled as such. Reviews are other people's words, excerpted with a link to the original, and are not verified by this site. If something is wrong, request a correction.
Where do the reviews come from?
Public pages such as Glassdoor, Indeed, BBB and Google. Only short excerpts are used, each credited and linked to the original, and I add only reviews I have read at the source.
Can NTI respond?
Yes. Any reply is published unedited. See About & corrections.
Can an employer fire you for missing work during a medical emergency?
It depends on your state, your classification, your employer's size, your time on the job, and your contract. Laws such as the FMLA and the ADA may apply. Talk to an employment attorney or the agencies listed in your options. This is general information, not legal advice.
